Miracle on my TV

I am sure that I am not the only one who says, “I’m not feeling the Christmas spirit.” I surmise this is because of the amount of soca music for the upcoming season that is on the airwaves plus the local Christmas today is filled with sexual innuendo or political picong. Where are lyrics on the Christ child or the general atmosphere of love, happiness, peace? Like a needle in a haystack, the traditional tunes are hidden deep beneath the popular music, thus the absence of the Christmas spirit.

About two weeks ago, I happened to see that the classic movie Miracle on 34th Street was showing. I had never seen the movie so I decided to take a look. As I watched, a strange thing was happening to me. That movie put me in the Christmas mood. I don’t know how or why, but it hit the right nerve. I guess that’s why it’s a classic movie that has been remade quite a few times.

If you’re not feeling the Christmas spirit, then have a look at Miracle on 34th Street. Fortunately, the full movie is on YouTube for all to see. Enjoy.
